Karen Pazdera, MS,CCC-SLP

Karen graduated from James Madison University with her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She then attended Pennsylvania State University to obtain her graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology.

In her 14 years of practice treating children with communication disorders, Karen has worked in a variety of settings helping children communicate effectively. She joined Pediatric Therapeutics in 2004 and feels at home here, surrounded by extremely talented therapists in a multi-disciplinary setting. In this environment, she has constant access to vibrant professionals to ensure that the “whole child” is being treated. Children she works with on a daily basis present with speech and language difficulties in the areas of articulation, speech coordination, auditory processing, expressive language, comprehension, reading and writing, as well as speech language delays. She has extensive experience working with children who are nonverbal and require assistive technology and augmentative communication to be active members of their community. She has worked closely with several children with language-based learning difficulties in a private school -based setting as well as in her private practice.

She finds this work so rewarding – being able to help kids learn how to express themselves, succeed in school, make friends, and just be KIDS! She is a huge believer in parent/family involvement in order for treatment to be successful. With family involvement and open lines of communication with the child’s educational team, children can truly soar given speech and language treatment. She looks forward to meeting you and providing your child the help he or she needs to meet his or her potential and exceed expectations!
