Wii Group

September, 2012

Wii Play Together!” is a social skills and movement group developed by mental health/behavioral therapist Erika Ledder and occupational therapist Missy Briody. The fall “Wii Play Together!” session will begin on September 11, 2012 and will run through October 16, 2012 (6 sessions) meeting on Tuesdays from 5-6 pm.

The group uses the Wii interactive gaming system as a framework for goal directed movement and social interaction. With an emphasis on having fun without making fun of others, the group focuses on building confidence, frustration tolerance, sportsmanship, and social language, while helping develop balance, eye-hand coordination, visual spatial skills, motor planning abilities, and response speed.

No experience is necessary. New group members are still being accepted. Please call 973.635.0202 and speak with Liz or Josephine if you are interested.
