Melissa Vastola

Melissa Vastola, Occupational Therapist

I graduated from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts in 2001 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. My passion and interest has always been to work in pediatrics.  I have worked in a variety of pediatric settings with a wide array of diagnoses for the last eight years of my career.  My experience includes organizing and running social skills groups for children diagnosed with autism, working at The Arc Kohler School in Mountainside with children ages 3-10 with special needs, early intervention and working for Trinitas Children’s Therapy Services in the public school setting for the last five years.  I greatly enjoy working at Pediatric Therapeutics, and have been there for three years.  I have been working primarily with, but not limited to, children with sensory processing issues, ADHD, Asperger’s and fine motor delays. I am certified in Sensory Integration/ SIPT and Handwriting Without Tears.  I am also an authorized provider for The Listening Program.  I am happily married for seven years and have two beautiful young children.
