Three Little Birds: Funding to help children with special needs

One of the perks of being a therapist at Pediatric Therapeutics is the ongoing opportunity to know amazing children with equally amazing families. Another is the chance to appreciate the relationships that develop between families as schedules, and similar life experiences and goals naturally bring them together at our clinic. The depth of connection and consideration between parents of children with special needs is undeniable. The Three Little Birds Fund is an extraordinary example of a family’s passion to help other families.

A charitable fund under the umbrella of The Community Foundation of New Jersey, based in Morristown, NJ, and a newcomer among the nonprofit foundation’s alliance of families, businesses and foundations, The Three Little Birds Fund is dedicated to providing financial assistance to families for therapy costs for children and to organizations that help empower children with special needs. The fund is the dream of parents who, for over fifteen years, have been involved with pediatric therapies due to the needs of two of their three children.
These parents have recognized how difficult it is for families to bear the responsibility for what they refer to as “essential” therapies, while also managing typical family expenses. They want to help and they hope to inspire.

Learn. Benefit. Contribute. Find out more about Three Little Birds at www.3littlebirds.org. The website includes additional information about its mission, children/families served, how to apply for therapy scholarship and how to donate to the fund.

Three Little Birds and its founding family hold a special place in the heart of Pediatric Therapeutics; it has belonged to these parents and their children for years! The establishment of a scholarship program for therapies is monumental and much needed. We look forward to serving scholarship recipients and to seeing the fund grow through continued generosity. Welcome, Three Little Birds!
